Kali Linux is a Debian based Linux Distro which is mostly used for cyber security. What makes Kali different from other Distro is that Kali have almost all the intermediate tools you’ll need for cyber security.
The popular WordList in it’s /usr/share directory is often unavailable if you don’t use Kali, you can download the wordlist file below.
Use of wordlist
A wordlist is consist of commonly used passwords, directories, subdomains, etc. It’s a text file with a which contains the list of words. You can genrate your own wordlist with running some scripts but it is going to take time to go through all the possible combination and required a decent hardware and this is where ready-made wordlist come in play.
Download WordList Folder with all WordList text files
Download and extract.
Use with Gobuster
gobuster dns -d example.org -t 100 -w /usr/share/wordlists/dirb/common.txt
This will find all the subdomain and directories using the wordlists.
